Questions about cross bobbins
Why do you need cross bobbins?
Cross bobbins are used wherever large numbers of meters are required in automated processes. If you require very long adhesive tape or other corresponding tape materials, cross bobbins allow you to wind very narrow tape widths with very long running lengths on a single reel. This reduces set-up times in your application processes, as fewer reel changes are required.
When do I need cross bobbins?
If a role has to be changed frequently, it is advisable to use cross bobbins!
Which materials can be processed?
In general, any material that can be cut and wound at the same time can be made up into reels by us. As a rule, we process single and double-sided adhesive tapes, foils, foam, fleece, paper and cork. All materials can be either self-adhesive or non-adhesive.
What is the maximum cutting width for cross-wound bobbins?
From a cutting width of around 35 mm, it becomes difficult to wind the tape materials crosswise (overlapping) in very long lengths. Alternatively, pan cake rolls with a running length of up to 1000 meters can be produced.
What does the maximum tape length depend on?
The core or winding width determines how much tape can be wound onto the spool. The narrower the tape, the more running meters fit on the spool. The thickness of the material is also decisive. The thinner the tape, the more running meters can fit on it. However, this is limited by the total outer diameter of around 500 mm.
How much does a cross bobbins weigh?
Depending on the material and its dimensions, a fully wound cross bobbin coil can weigh up to 25 kg.
How do I store a cross bobbin coil?
It is best to store the cross bobbin hanging in the delivery packaging.
How do I transport a cross bobbin?
Never touch the sides of the bobbin during transportation, as the wound tape material may slip off. Hold the cross bobbin either with both hands by the core or in the middle of the wound material.
Fragen zu Triple G
What are your advantages with Triple G?
In contrast to other cross-bobbin winders, we can realize all individual tape widths from 2 mm. Depending on the material, we can also produce running lengths of up to 100,000 meters. Individual application aids for better processing of the tapes round off our range.
Who are our customers?
In general, it is industrial companies that require long, narrow tape materials as individual product solutions for their automated production processes.
What batch sizes can be realized?
Small series | Medium quantity segment | Large series | Samples & test series: 1-12 rolls
How high are the costs?
The price per order is made up of the primary material and our service. We have access to a large procurement pool of individual primary materials. As we are manufacturer-independent, we can also offer alternative materials at attractive prices.
Can I get a sample to testing?
Yes, thanks to our technical capabilities, we are able to produce samples or test series from 1 spool of any material in individual dimensions.
How do we deliver?
Depending on the size, each reel is securely packed individually or in batches in a special cardboard box. The size of the reel and the order quantity determine the corresponding cartons, layers per pallet or the number of pallets.
If required, labels can be applied to the cores for better identification.
How long does the delivery time take?
Depending on the order situation, the delivery time can take up to 20 working days from order placement. In particularly urgent cases, the order can be produced much faster by express delivery.
How does our quality management work?
Ongoing checks during production guarantee consistently high product quality from the first to the last cross bobbin.
